NOWFE is a non-profit organization. 2007 proceeds benefited the New Orleans Chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association; the University of New Orleans School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism, which prepares HRT graduates to become leaders in Louisiana's hospitality industry; The Chef John Folse Culinary Institute which preserves and advances the rich culinary heritage of Louisiana; Delgado Community College, which offers students Culinary Arts Degree Certificates in Applied Science and Culinary Management Certificates. Donations were also made to the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, the Broadmoor Improvement Association, Deuce McAllister's Catch 22 Foundation, and the New Orleans Firefighter's Fund.
