Dumplings with Chef Hao Gong
Participants will make a variety of their own dumplings and sip rice wine with Chef as he describes the history and meaning of dumplings within the Chinese community. These dumplings will be enjoyed with Chef Hao’s homemade dipping and chili sauces, along with tastings of his specialty dishes.
*Space is limited - two classes for six guests each.
LUVI Restaurant is the culmination of Chef Hao Gong's culinary life from childhood to present. Chef Hao describes himself as a hybrid chef as he delves into both Chinese and Japanese cooking. LUVI's menu is part Shanghai comfort food with a punch of Japanese. Chef Hao's earliest experiences in the kitchen were in his native Shanghai where he lived until the age of 15. His skills continued to develop in numerous restaurants in the States. He believes that you first taste food with your eyes and then with your mouth. Cooking has always been a playful experience for Chef Hao. His goal is that all of his customers enjoy his food as much as he enjoys creating it for them.
